Adjusting a Curve

Adjusting a Curve

UniStorm uses Animation Curves for various time related float values such as Precipitation Odds, Temperature, Temperature Fluctuation, and more. These curves have 2 different types, a year curve and a 24-hour curve.

24 Hour Curve

24-hour curve are used for adjusting a float value throughout a day, such the Sun Intensity Curve. Referring to the curve below, X represents the hour and Y represents the intensity. This graph starts at 0 and goes until 24 before resetting back to 0. The current point on the graph is not visible and is based on the time you set within the UniStorm editor. The middle point would be somewhere just around midday where the last point would be just before midnight. You can move a point by dragging it or you can right click it and enter the value and time directly.

Year Curve

Year curves are used for adjusting a float value throughout a year, such the Precipitation Odds. Referring to the curve below, X represents the calendar month, and Y represents the odds. This graph starts at 1 and goes until 13 before resetting back to 1. The current point on the graph is not visible and is based on the date you set within the UniStorm editor. The middle point would be somewhere just before being halfway through July where the last point would be just before a new year. You can move a point by dragging it or you can right click it and enter the value and time directly.
